Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use Grrl, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, switch control, larger text or high contrast.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Every screen is checked automatically with axe-core in light and dark mode on each change, colours are tested for contrast, text follows your phone’s text size, tap targets are at least 44 points, and animations stop when you turn on reduced motion.

Known limits

• Charts have a text summary, but some detailed charts are easier to read visually.
• Flyers you download are images; the event page they link to is fully accessible.
